|Scenario Task Type=Surveillance
|Scenario Task Description=Secure telephony and video conferencing on the Internet did not exist until very recently. Phil Zimmerman (the same person who gave us [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pretty_Good_Privacy PGP] developed a cryptographic standard for voice over IP (VOIP) conferencing called [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZRTP ZRTP]. It offers end-to-end encryption of the conversations and has been implemented in [https://jitsi.org/ Jitsi] and [http://www.linphone.org Linphone]. Both tools support the ZRTP standard in audio and video conferencing and are available for use on all common platforms.
<br />
In addition Jitsi also offers a conferencing service accessible directly from the browser, called [https://jitsi.org/Projects/JitsiMeet Jitsi Meet]. You can install the open source service on your own or use their publicly available portal at https://meet.jit.si. Note that this service provides only transport layer security (TLS )and not the ZRTP standard as per the clients above. The connection is encrypted but the content is accessible to the provider of the bridge.
