EFF refers to OS X 10.4 and we are already at 10.11, and Apple official advice is as follows: "If you want to delete files that contain sensitive information, you can use Secure Empty Trash. Files deleted in this way are completely overwritten by meaningless data." It is very different from what is written in EFF guide, and also you can no longer find anything in help if you look for "erasing free disk space". I mean you will find related topics, but assuming the guide is for users of all levels of proficiency, this is way too complicated. Maybe a simple piece of advice from Apple could be given and that's it?

I thought Bitlocker only works with Windows professional, which is a big deal, because in most cases, when a licence is legally purchased, the cheapest option is selected and it is not Professional. So this info should be added, as well as what could be an alternative (Truecrypt?).

And nothing for Macs. Ok, we may not be that many, but considering the fact that often Macs are used by not particularly advanced users and that sec trainers do not always know much about Macs, it would be good to provide solutions to Macs as well. And, e.g. if you do not recommend the preinstalled firewalls, then it would be good to explain why.

Also, 2FA is available not only for email, but for other services as well. E.g. dropbox, microsoft account, VK, maybe more, it's just what I can think of. I think the message should be: enable it anywhere you can.

I would also add a paragraph about Authenticator, which can be used for all of the above and whatever mentioned in the original text.

It may be a good idea to talk about tokens, but I don't know how many people use them now and it can be too much information.

It may make sense to say what level of computer proficiency is required for "a friend living in another country" to set up a proxy or VPN so that readers do not have high expectations or do not think that this is impossible.

There is an extra "guide" word in this sentence: "or a practical multilingual guide on how to remain anonymous and bypass censorship on the Internet guide from the Security in-a-box project".

If this Q&A will be translated into languages other than English, it may make sense--when making references to various guides and manuals--which language versions they are available in, e.g. "available only in English" or, like for Security in a box that it's a multilingual resource.

Also, it seems like Security in a box has not been updated for quite a while (at least some parts of it), I wonder if it is possible to work with the current managers (?) on having it updated/kept up to date.

I think it would help to explain briefly what it is, particularly for future non-English speakers.

In the next para, it would be good to rephrase "Your first port of call should be...": we already have three steps, so this one cannot be referred to as first, and then also it seems to be logically connected to item 3 above and maybe should be part of it, something like "If the website you are trying to reach is blocked, refer to the Herdict project..."
